Terms of use
Short version: buy a programme and it is yours to study, personally. Our training prepares you to apply for a customs authorisation, it does not grant one. If something is wrong, tell us and we will put it right.

Who we are
Oaegis Limited is a consulting and training company registered in England and Wales. In these terms, we and us mean Oaegis Limited, and you means the person using this website or holding an account.
When these terms apply
They apply when you use this website and when you buy a programme from us. By creating an account or completing a purchase you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
If you are buying as a consumer, these terms sit alongside your rights under UK consumer law and do not replace them. Where anything here conflicts with a right the law gives you, the law wins and that part of these terms does not apply to you. We do not ask you to give up any statutory right.
Your account
An account is for one named person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has your details. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
A programme is licensed to one learner. Sharing an account so that several people take a programme on one purchase is the one thing we ask you not to do, because the price is set per learner. If your organisation needs several people trained, tell us and we will arrange it properly.
What a programme includes
Self-study written material organised into modules, with knowledge-check questions. Some programmes include video. Enrolled learners can use the self-assessment workspace, and a certificate of completion is issued when you finish.
The first lesson of every programme is free to read without an account, so you can judge the material before paying. What that preview shows is what the rest of the programme is like.
What our training is, and what it is not
This section matters more than any other, so it is written plainly.
- Our programmes are professional training. They are not a qualification awarded by CIPS, CILT, HMRC, ISEP or any government body, and completing one does not make you accredited by those organisations. Where we describe material as aligned to a framework, that means it follows the published framework, not that the body has approved or endorsed it.
- We do not grant customs status. AEO, C-TPAT, Trusted Trader and equivalent authorisations are granted only by the relevant customs authority, following its own application and audit. We prepare you for that process. We cannot influence its outcome and we do not guarantee one.
- Our certificate confirms that you completed the programme. It is not a statement that you are certified, licensed or competent to act in any regulated capacity.
- The material is general guidance, not legal, customs, tax or professional advice about your own situation. Decisions about your business should be taken with advice that accounts for your facts.
- Regulation changes. We update the material and date it, but you should check the current position with GOV.UK or the relevant authority before acting on anything time-sensitive.
Price and payment
Prices are shown on the programme page in pounds sterling, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Any tax that applies is shown before you confirm. Payment is taken by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
We may change prices, and a change never affects a programme you have already bought. If a price is listed incorrectly through an obvious error we will tell you before taking payment, and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel.
Cancelling and refunds
Consumers have 14 days from purchase to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That right can be given up for digital content if the buyer agrees to immediate access and acknowledges losing it. We do not ask you to do that. You get access straight away and you keep the full 14 days.
Business purchases do not attract that statutory right, but we apply the same 14-day approach as a matter of policy. The full detail, including how to ask and how long a refund takes, is in our refunds and cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms.
How long you have access
We do not put a time limit on a programme you have bought, and we do not charge a renewal fee to keep reading it. Access continues for as long as we offer that programme.
If we ever withdraw a programme entirely, we will give enrolled learners at least 90 days notice so you can finish it and download your certificate. We are not promising access forever, because no one honestly can, but we will not remove it without warning.
What you may and may not do with the material
When you buy a programme we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own learning and for the work of the organisation that paid for it. You may take notes, print pages for your own use, and apply what you learn in your job.
Please do not republish or redistribute the material, sell or share access, record or broadcast it, or use it to build a competing training product. We take this seriously, and it is the main reason the preview exists: so you can judge the content without needing a copy of it.
The content, including text, video, diagrams and the self-assessment material, remains ours or our licensors. Nothing you buy transfers ownership of it. What you write, including your self-assessment drafts, stays yours; we do not claim ownership of your answers and we do not use them as teaching material.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to gain access to areas or accounts that are not yours, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, upload anything harmful, or use it to send unsolicited messages. If you find a security problem, please tell us rather than exploiting it, and we will thank you for it.
Consulting engagements
These terms cover the website and the training programmes. Advisory and delivery work is agreed separately in a written engagement, which sets out the scope, fees and terms for that work. Where the two conflict, the engagement letter governs the consulting work and these terms continue to govern the site and any programmes.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted. Maintenance, a supplier outage or something outside our control can interrupt it. We improve and correct the material over time, so what you see may change; where a change is material to a programme you hold, we will tell enrolled learners.
Our responsibility
We will provide the programmes with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach.
We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, and because our training prepares you for a process whose outcome is decided by someone else, we are not responsible for a customs authority refusing, delaying or revoking an authorisation, for a tender you do not win, or for a business decision you take after studying with us. For business customers we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a programme is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Suspending or ending access
You can close your account at any time by asking us. We may suspend or end access where an account is shared against these terms, where the material is being redistributed, where the site is being misused, or where payment is reversed after access was given. Except where the breach is serious or repeated, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right first.
If we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.
Complaints
Tell us at hello@oaegis.org and we will acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve it within ten. If we cannot agree, a consumer may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and either of us can go to court.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the current version. A change applies to purchases made after it. Where a change materially affects a programme you already hold, we will tell you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of your local law and can bring proceedings in your own courts.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
